Norman Foster Foundation Sustainability Public Debates
I had the special pleasure to be back at the Norman Foster Foundation in Madrid to speak and moderate a Public Debate on Sustainability, with four amazing panelists.
We discussed the importance of sustaining a public environment for urban innovation in Vienna (Austria) with Maria Vassilakou, former vice-Mayor, and in Singapore with Nirmal Kishnan. These cities have decades of experience creating ever better solutions to housing challenges, and to the integration of urban built spaces with nature and civic life.
We also heard about beautiful and sustainable building (re)design from architects Lina Ghotmeh and Pablo Urango in France, Beirut and Madrid.
It struck me that there is so much knowledge and innovation in architecture and design for sustainability that most of the world has not yet seen. Imagine the possibilities, I’m doing just that. Keep in touch with the Norman Foster Foundation and check out their new Masters on Sustainable Cities.
